Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 1 tbsp water (optional, for thickening)
  • Chopped green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pat the chicken thighs dry and place them skin-side up in a baking dish.
  4. Pour half of the honey garlic sauce over the chicken, coating each piece evenly.
  5. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven and brush with remaining sauce.
  7. Optional: Transfer the sauce drippings to a small saucepan, add cornstarch slurry, and simmer for 2-3 minutes until thickened for extra glaze.
  8. Brush the thickened sauce over the chicken and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

Serve with steamed rice and sautéed greens for a complete meal. For extra crisp skin, broil the thighs for 2-3 minutes at the end of cooking.
