Pistachio Lush Dessert is a creamy, layered treat featuring a crunchy crust, rich pistachio pudding, whipped topping, and chopped pistachios, perfect for an indulgent and elegant dessert.

  • Crust: 1 package (8 oz) chocolate sandwich cookies, crushed
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • Filling: 1 package (3.4 oz) instant pistachio pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • Cool Whip or whipped topping, 8 oz
  • 1/2 cup chopped pistachios for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix crushed chocolate cookies with melted butter until combined.
  2. Press the crust mixture evenly into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  3. Bake crust for 10 minutes then remove and allow to cool completely.
  4. In a medium bowl, whisk together the pistachio pudding mix and cold milk; refrigerate until set, about 5 minutes.
  5. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
  6. Fold the chilled pistachio pudding into the cream cheese mixture until fully combined.
  7. Spread the pistachio filling evenly over the cooled crust.
  8. Top with whipped topping and spread evenly.
  9. Sprinkle chopped pistachios generously on top for garnish.
  10. Refrigerate dessert for at least 4 hours before serving to allow layers to set.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a drizzle of white chocolate sauce on top or serve with fresh berries for a fruity contrast.
