Honey Ricotta Pizza is a delightful blend of creamy ricotta, sweet honey, and a crispy crust, offering a perfect balance of flavors for a quick and elegant treat.

  • 1 ball of pizza dough (about 12 inches)
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • Fresh thyme or basil leaves for garnish
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to about 12 inches in diameter.
  3. Transfer the dough to a parchment-lined baking sheet or a pizza peel if using a stone.
  4. Brush the dough lightly with olive oil, then dollop ricotta cheese evenly across the surface.
  5. Drizzle honey over the ricotta and sprinkle with lemon zest, salt, and freshly ground black pepper.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the crust is golden and crisp.
  7. Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh thyme or basil leaves before slicing and serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, drizzle additional honey and a sprinkle of red pepper flakes after baking for a sweet and spicy twist.
