Croissant Bake

A deliciously flaky and savory croissant bake perfect for breakfast or brunch, combining buttery croissants with eggs, cheese, and flavorful fillings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large croissants, cut into chunks
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled breakfast sausage
  • 1/4 cup diced bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×9 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Add croissant chunks, cheddar cheese, cooked sausage, bell pepper, and onion to the egg mixture. Stir gently to combine.
  4. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading evenly.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the top is golden brown.
  6. Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
  7. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired and serve warm.

Notes

For a vegetarian version, omit the sausage and add sautéed mushrooms or spinach. Serve with a side of fresh fruit or a light green salad for a complete meal.
