  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9-inch pie dish.
  2. Cook the bacon in a skillet until crispy, then drain on paper towels and crumble once cooled.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until well combined.
  4. Sprinkle the cooked bacon, diced onion, and shredded cheese evenly in the prepared pie dish.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the toppings in the dish.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until the quiche is set and lightly golden on top.
  7. Remove from oven, let cool for 5 minutes, then garnish with chopped fresh chives if desired. Slice and serve warm.

Notes

For a vegetarian version, omit bacon and add sautéed mushrooms or spinach for extra flavor and texture.
